  • Anna recently relocated from BC after studying at The University of Victoria and subsequently working in Vancouver’s notorious Downtown East Side as an Addictions Counsellor. Previously, Anna taught English in Tokyo for a year and travelled independently in Southeast Asia. Such experiences contributed to a great deal of personal and professional growth, and enhanced Anna’s mindfulness-based practice.

Anna believes that working from a client-centered, individualized approach is essential in fostering meaningful life changes and growth through counselling. Anna views each client as an expert in their own lives and integrates each client’s ideas, preferences, and goals in the therapy process. She also works from a trauma-informed, harm-reduction perspective. Anna’s areas of specialization distinguish her practice from others’ and include: addiction, acquired brain injury, depression, anxiety, stress, other emotion and attentional regulation difficulties, and mindfulness-based practice.

Anna holds a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McMaster University with a Specialization in Cognition and Perception. She is designated as a Canadian Certified Counsellor in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Anna is currently located at 2405 Lake Shore Blvd. W, Suit 404, Etobicoke; and The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Integrated Healthcare Centre, 1255 Sheppard Ave. E, Toronto.

Anna offers services to youth, adults, couples, and families for short-term counselling or long-term psychotherapy.

Anna's area of practice include Addictions, including specialized smoking cessation treatment, Depression, anxiety, and stress, Acquired brain injury, Personality and concurrent disorders, Attention and emotion regulation difficulties, Trauma, Relationship issues, Self-harm & suicidal behaviours, Grief and loss, Fears and phobias, Disordered eating patterns, Career and lifestyle transitions, Chronic pain and Infectious illnesses.

Anna’s practice is largely informed my Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Relational/Interpersonal counselling (therapy through relationship), and neurophysiological research. Above all, her work is inspired by neuroplasticity and the potential it holds for learning and transformation in us all.
