Oriana is a Registered Psychotherapist and graduate of the highly specialized, Couple and Family Therapy master’s program at the University of Guelph. Oriana provides individuals, couples, and families with a supportive and nonjudgmental space for expression and helpful exploration of concerns in their lives. These concerns might include: experiences of loss, physical illness, relationship ruptures and conflict, life transitions, distressing or confusing aspects of one's identity, or feelings of "stuckness", boredom, exhaustion, and isolation. Oriana has specialized experience and skill working with children and adolescents in therapy, as well as a keen interest in incorporating various expressive-based activities (e.g., drawing) into the therapy work with people of all ages to facilitate more authentic communication, and to complement and enhance conversations.
Oriana continues to feel very honoured by the people she works with who invite her into their lives for a period of time. As a result, she holds client stories, conversations, and the relationships built with much delicacy, admiration, and respect. Collaborative and strengths-based, the therapy work is uniquely tailored to each person she meets.
Accepting, patient, and validating, those who have worked with Oriana often report on the transformative nature of their conversations; noticing a difference, whether that be in their thoughts, feelings, or relationships with others. Clients' reports of feeling “lighter”, clearer, and more hopeful after a meeting are common.
