Carrie’s experience includes over 30 years as a therapist, 35 years of marriage and raising four children. Areas of special interest include: individual psychotherapy and couple therapy (including pre-marriage counseling), eating disorders (Anorexia, Bulimia, compulsive eating), stress management, anxiety disorders, after effects from childhood emotional/physical/sexual abuse, depression, relationship coaching, sexuality, grief and bereavement, parenting issues/behavior management, anger management and spiritual development and direction. Carrie also has a strong interest in helping couples recover and thrive after infidelity as well as helping in the healing of intergenerational family rifts where she meets with various family groupings to help bring about reconciliation where possible.
Carrie has extensive experience leading support groups and is a frequent speaker in workshops, churches and community groups. She has over 15 years of experience supervising student interns completing their masters’ degree in counselling. In her spare time, Carrie loves to play tennis, ski, knit, read, and hang out with her family. Carrie is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists.
