What problem do you strive to overcome?
Sometime clients feel apprehensive, not sure where to start, or may have several issues they may want to discuss. I have developed an integrative and client-centred approach to counselling, I have a passion for assisting clients in gaining insights into their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and the patterns that are holding them back. One of my goals is to create a safe, welcoming, and non-oppressive environment for my clients and I value the importance of a collaborative therapeutic relationship to ensure client’s feel heard and understood.
Emma is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a McGill University graduate with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Emma also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Guelph. Before becoming a part of the Toronto Neurofeedback and Psychotherapy Centre, Emma has experience providing counselling to students at the McGill Counselling and Psychoeducational clinic, working with individuals with anxiety, depression, school and relationship issues. She also completed a year-long internship at the Argyle Institute in Montreal, Quebec providing psychotherapy to individuals and couples with a wide range of mental health issues.
